If it doesn’t make you smile at least once, I’ll eat my bootlaces (wonders if she can purchase a pair of those old fashioned liquorice ones).

Get yourself a copy, people. I’m in the midst of reading the novel at the moment and it is tremendous fun. I can personally attest to its power of generating synchronicity. The story features strange little flashes of light, and just yesterday, when swapping my old Mom’s books at the library, I noticed just such a flash in my peripheral vision. Turns out, a portly middle-aged fellow was taking a photo of the park beside the library building – but who uses a flash for a landscape shot in broad daylight? Very mysterious!
